At Haven Transport, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to ensuring that all children and young people transported in our care are safe, respected, and protected at every stage of their journey.

Our Commitment

​We fully adhere to the Children Act 1989 & 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023), and Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024). Our safeguarding standards meet or exceed local authority and Ofsted expectations.

We commit to:

  •  Protecting every child from harm, neglect, or exploitation.

  •  Promoting welfare and emotional wellbeing throughout every journey.

  •  Ensuring all staff are enhanced DBS checked and trained in Level 3 safeguarding.

  •  Maintaining safe, secure, and well-equipped vehicles.

  •  Working closely with foster carers, schools, social workers, and local authorities.

Professional Standards

All staff at Haven Transport follow our Code of Conduct, which upholds respect, confidentiality, and professionalism. We operate under strict insurance cover, driver vetting, and continuous training frameworks to guarantee safety and accountability.

Reporting Concerns

We take every concern seriously. If a member of the public or partner agency has a safeguarding concern, it will be handled with urgency and sensitivity in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
